Spring Suede

Categories

This beautiful and so, so soft fabric hasn’t been this stylish in decades! From classic neutrals to saturated colors; from handbags to shoes, you can’t miss adding something suede to your spring and summer wardrobe. A few tips on how to care for your suede or faux suede items:

For real suede, use an emory board (old fashion nail file) to remove light stains. For tougher stains, dip a cloth into a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water and gently dab onto stain. Dab water to rinse and blot dry. Use a stiff suede brush, always brushing in the direction of the fibers, to remove dirt and help lift fibers. Be sure your suede is dry before brushing!

For faux suede, hand wash or delicate cycle and hang dry. You can put your suede item in the dryer for 10 minutes on very low heat to release wrinkles and then hang (padded coat hanger) to dry.
